he rustled under the covers. spooky’s mind was electrolysed with randomised arpeggiated basslines, twisting and writhing and dancing around him. his brain, maddened with acidic remnants, struggled to expand like bubbles in a recently shaken bottle of sickeningly luminous orange soda. What could he do next? how could he avoid putting in vocal samples? Was the 808 really the right choice?

he felt overwhelmed. all his e-number riddled mind could fathom was bottomless depths of bubbles and fizz, all much more orange than his favourite ugandan orange flavoured soft drinks, with their incredibly relaxed limitations on food colouring additives. he felt as though he was sinking into the depths. he struggled, kicked, screamed. nothing helped.

but, wait, he added a saturation buss - something was happening, tighten those transients... oh! he felt the fizz rising - the citrus flow bubbling to a climax - his head felt ready to explode now! perhaps he could just give his head room high enough above the precipice of the fanta seas!

his eyes opened. he wasn’t drowning after all. he was wet, but not everywhere.
